One of the gallant ships used during the 2374 Dominion War in the Alpha Quadrant is the Jem’Hadar battleship. The Dominion owned the ship with an observed warp speed of 9.6, more than ten torpedo launchers, and deflector shields.
Despite the warp speed, Jem’Hadar is said to be twice the size of a Galaxy class starship and thrice more powerful as well but no one really had the exact measures of it. Jake Sisco only approximately measured it to be 1,284 meters long while observing it at close range from the USS Valiant, which was used in gathering data about the battleship.
This data changed in later observations finally arriving at 1,500 meters in length, 1,000 meters wide, and 375 meters high.
The ship was armed with torpedoes that can fire multiple bursts in a single launch. It also has forward beam emitters. The battleship is supported by clusters of smaller Jem’Hadar fighters. The ship also uses phased polaron as weapon.
Arriving at a conclusion that this ship is a threat to the Federation, the Valiant decided to engage it is battle with hopes that the weaknesses they found would be enough to destroy this possible threat. In the end, the Jem’Hadar destroyed the USS Valiant. It was also later on used in 2375 to destroy the Cardassion Rebellion base in ‘The Dogs of War’.
