Ferengi Marauder ships were advanced star ships used by the Ferengi Alliance during the 24th century. These were used warships, transport ships, and attack vessels. D’Kora class was one of the Marauder ships best used by the Ferengi. Its capacity is 450 crews and it has a warp speed of nine.
The weaponry includes a forward missile launcher, a torpedo launcher, directed energy weapon, and electromagnetic pulse weapon. It uses deflector shields to protect itself against enemy attacks.
The torpedo launcher is placed at the peak of the primary hull as closer seen in the episode, “The Last Outpost” and “Peak Performance.” Its forward missile launchers were closely seen when used n the episode “The Price.” Using the electromagnetic pulse weakens the deflector shield power of the Galaxy-class starships and depletes the fusion generator and batteries by almost thirty percent.
Based on the script of Star Trek, the Marauder ships use weapons with “crackling pulse attack” with effects described as “an electric wave-arc that ripples out and back from the trailing sides. It is something like a space-borne stingray.”
The ships posses an extended neck to reveal several weapon ports during the preparation for an attack. The ship is also said to be equipped with an auxiliary vessel although its capabilities are still unknown.
In 2364, a Federation Crew, Jean-Luc Picard described the ship as a “very impressive design,” far from the assumptions made in 2360s that it has equal and the same technology as the Federation technology. D’Kora class was almost as fast as a Galaxy-class Federation starship based on the observation of Geordi La Forge.
